In Dalyan – a district of the province Muğla the protection of the Caretta-Caretta sea turtles caused a big stir-up. However, in the commotion of protection only one species other problems like the unique Günnük forests (liquid amber trees), the pesticide pollution of the earth and endangering of other species was completely overlooked. In this documentary a macro view of the ecosystem and the problems of well meant but unfit approaches are explored.

The ever growing importance of this form of agriculture caused new dependence relations with the big transnational chemical industry. The documentary explores the stories of farmers in the region of Antalya and their problems with the new form of farming.

Aziz Nesin was one of the most outstanding dissidents in the history of the Turkish Republic. He was a writer, renowned for his humorist style. His books were translated in more than 40 languages and awarded with many international humorist awards. He created a foundation for children of underprivileged homes which is providing a home for many children (Nesin Vakfı).

Interviews with professionals and volunteers about problems, solutions and propositions for better efficiency were brought together and offered to the NGOs, institutions and officials involved with relieve work.

This is the documentation of life after the 1999 Marmara Earthquake in the “İzmir tent-town” in Değirmendere (Kocaeli). In the center of the documentary are the changes in the lives of a group consisting of mostly women during the first 13 months after the earthquake.
